Background
Stockton East Water District (SEWD) and Calaveras County Water District (CCWD), with the assistance of a Proposition 204 grant from the State Water Resources Control Board (SWRCB) are conducting a preliminary watershed assessment and plan for the Calaveras River Watershed, located in Calaveras, San Joaquin, and Stanislaus Counties, California. The purpose of the watershed assessment and plan are to provide the framework for ensuring a dependable, high quality supply of water for drinking, agriculture, wildlife, and recreation purposes.

Mission Statement
The Calaveras River Watershed Management Program Technical Advisory Committee's (TAC) mission is to provide scientific and technical guidance to the Calaveras River Watershed Management Plan on measures to promote the sustainability, restoration, protection, and enhancement of the Calaveras River Watershed for current and future uses.
